12. Old-Catholic Church of Exaltation of Holy Cross

This church was built in the art nouveau style in 1900 through 1902. The plans had been designed by Jablonec's native, architect Josef Zasche, the construction carried out by Emilian Herbi's company. The church is used for its original purpose - the Old-Catholic Church services - that take place every Sunday. That is also the only time when you can see this sight.
A lovely art noveau residential neighborhood grew near the church at the beginning of the 20th century.
The Old-Catholic church is probably the most valuable art nouveau monument in the town and it ranks among the most significant sacral art nouveau buildings in Europe.
