13. Reservoir

Jablonec's reservoir was built in 1906 through 1909 as part of the dam system on the Nisa river's tributaries, the goal of which was to prevent floods troubling the Jizerské Mountains region on regular basis. The reservoir lies at 513 meters above sea level and it can hold 3 million cubic meters of water (it is the largest European inner-town water surface east of the Geneva Lake).
The unique technical sight is mainly the most attractive recreational area for the town and far around.
