3. Museum of Glass and Costume Jewellry

An art nouveau building in a floral style (originally the seat of an export company Zimmer & Schmidt) is home of an institution of super-regional significance - the Museum of Glass and Costume Jewelry. Objects illustrating the evolution of glass, jewelry, costume jewelry (and recently medal and coin, too,) making, from the classical antiquity times till present times, in northern Bohemia, are represented in the collections. The most interesting original pieces are shown in the permanent exposition.  There is the entrance to Jablonec's Exhibition Site, one of the downtown recreational zones, near the museum. Next to the museum, also the memorial stands, built in commemoration of Jablonec's synagogue which was burnt to the ground by the Nazi in November, 1938.
