8. Post Office

Jablonec's post office had long been operating in make-shift conditions; in the old town hall building, for example. It got a representational building only in the years 1892 through 1894 when a Jablonec's Neo-Renaissance Main Post Office building was built after the plans of the Viennese king and emperor's building development counselor, architect Friedrich Setz. The construction was managed by Jablonec's builder Arwed Thamerus.
The building has recently undergone a restoration and it fully serves its original purpose again.
